Shipping Volume Calculator

Estimate packing volume and total weight for logistics

Shipping Parameters
Enter equipment packaging dimensions and weight to calculate shipping requirements
LED shipping volume and weight formula
Shipping estimates combine cabinet volume, accessory volume, packaging allowance, and gross weight.
Case volume = width × height × depth × case count
Accessories volume = entered accessory volume
Packaging volume = (case volume + accessories volume) × packaging allowance
Total volume = case volume + accessories volume + packaging volume
Total weight = case weight × case count + accessories weight + packaging weight
case count
Number of LED cabinets or cases
Use packed units, not only installed display modules, when planning freight.
packaging allowance
Extra volume for protection
The current estimate uses a simplified allowance for crates, foam, pallets, and handling space.
gross weight
Total shipment weight
Includes cabinets, accessories, and estimated packaging material.
How this LED shipping calculator works
Use this as an early freight planning tool before requesting a formal quote from a forwarder or supplier.
  1. Calculate packed cabinet volume from width, height, depth, and quantity.
  2. Add optional accessory volume and accessory weight.
  3. Apply a packaging volume allowance for crates, padding, and pallets.
  4. Estimate packaging weight and gross shipment weight.
  5. Recommend a broad shipping class from total volume.

Important notes

  • Real freight pricing can use volumetric weight, chargeable weight, route, service level, and Incoterms.
  • Oversized crates, fragile handling, batteries, and customs requirements can change the shipment plan.
  • Always confirm final dimensions and weights from packing lists before booking freight.
LED shipping examples
These examples show how volume, packaging, and accessories affect freight planning.

Small spare cabinet shipment

A support team ships a few replacement cabinets and cables.

  • Case count: 4
  • Small accessory volume
  • Moderate gross weight

Large parcel or small freight may be enough.

Accessories and protective packing can still push a shipment into freight handling.

Rental screen package

A rental kit includes many cabinets, flight cases, processors, and rigging.

  • Case volume plus accessory volume
  • Packaging allowance included

Truck or container planning may be required.

Use packed dimensions, not installed screen dimensions.

International LED wall order

A full project shipment needs early container planning.

  • Total volume above 30 m³
  • High total weight

20 ft or 40 ft container discussion becomes relevant.

Ask suppliers for a packing list before comparing ocean, air, or road freight.
