LED weight load FAQ
How do I calculate LED wall weight load capacity?
Multiply module weight by the number of modules to get total wall weight, then divide by the number of support points. Compare the point load to your structure’s rated capacity and apply a safety factor for wind, people, and dynamic loads.
How much weight can an LED module support?
A module does not “support” wall weight by itself — the frame and mounts do. Use module weight (kg) to compute total load, then check support spacing, rigging, and wall anchors. This calculator estimates those numbers from your module layout.
How many support points does an LED wall need?
Many installs use four or more points for a full wall. More points reduce load per point. Always follow the manufacturer’s structural guide and a qualified engineer for permanent or overhead mounts.
What safety factor should I use for LED installations?
A higher safety factor leaves more margin for wind, crowds, and imperfect anchors. Treat calculator output as planning estimates, not a substitute for engineering sign-off on live events or permanent walls.
How do I estimate total LED screen weight?
Total weight ≈ module weight × horizontal modules × vertical modules. Add frames, power supplies, and cabling separately. Use this with cabinet quantity and shipping tools when planning logistics.
